Job description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Artisan to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team. The successful candidate will ensure equipment reliability by implementing and executing proper Good Engineering Practices (GEP) to support production plans and operational efficiency requirements while maintaining GMP, EHS, and Quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure GMP, EHS, and Quality compliance during maintenance activities and related tasks
  • Execute planned preventative maintenance according to schedules and perform maintenance tasks on production equipment
  • Contribute to the reduction of non-conformances, deviations, and complaints
  • Participate in root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions
  • Assist with updating or creating new SOPs and work instructions
  • Provide equipment operational training to staff
  • Support and drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform installation, operational and performance qualification of new equipment
  • Identify and maintain critical spare parts inventory
  • Ensure equipment settings align with relevant SOPs and checklists
  • Maintain quality and condition of tooling and equipment change parts
  • Provide back-up assistance to equipment operators when required

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Qualified Fitter & Turner, Electrician, or Millwright (Artisan qualification) with completed apprenticeship
  • 2+ years' experience in a manufacturing/packaging environment
  • 3+ years' experience in operation and maintenance of plant machines and services
  • Experience with blister packaging equipment
  • PLC knowledge (advantageous)
  • Good technical aptitude - ability to troubleshoot and repair minor breakdowns
  • Systematic approach with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and follow clear instructions
  • Customer-focused mindset with good teamwork abilities
  • Availability for rotational shift work and overtime when required
  • Previous exposure to pharmaceutical manufacturing environment (advantageous)
