Job description

This post provides an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person interested in working within Cancer Care.

The post holder will be expected to support the Breast Care Nurses to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient running of the team. As part of the multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will contribute to the efficient, seamless service provision with a high standard of care by providing elements of direct and indirect patient care and clerical work.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Working closely with the nursing team and wider MDT, triaging emails and telephone queries.
  2. Organising and setting up Holistic Needs Assessments for newly diagnosed and end-of-treatment patients.
  3. Managing and coordinating prosthesis clinics and ordering prostheses.
  4. Preparing surgical and oncology clinics and ensuring scans are chased in a timely manner.
  5. Assisting in managing and coordinating patients on a Personalised Stratified Pathway (PSFU).
  6. Monitoring patients on a remote monitoring system (Info flex).
  7. Communicating effectively with relevant MDTs and clinical teams to ensure proper referral and follow-up of stratified patients.
