Purpose of Role: To set-up and machine products to specifications on production machines, as well as inspect products to specifications and work instructions.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Safety First: Demonstrate commitment to zero harm behaviors and safety culture.
  2. Operate machines/equipment safely according to instructions.
  3. Set and operate specified machines; sign off on first-off components.
  4. Machine components to drawing specifications within standard time.
  5. Work with a tolerance of 12 microns.
  6. Maintain 100% quality throughput.
  7. Maintain 5S housekeeping and safety standards on machines.
  8. Operate CNC horizontal and vertical borers (3-5 axis) and CNC lathes.
  9. Read and modify CNC program offsets.
  10. Identify inserts and troubleshoot as needed.
  11. Use measuring instruments such as mics, verniers, gauges.
  12. Perform hard part machining.
Job Knowledge, Education, and Qualifications:
  • Qualified Artisan N3/N4 with relevant Trade Certificate and 3-5 years related experience.
  • 2-3 years post-apprenticeship experience.
  • Experience with CNC Fanuc systems and conventional machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents.
  • Apply common sense to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
