Introduction

VKB Milling (Pty) Ltd is one of four subsidiaries of VKB Agri Processors (Pty) Ltd, the agri-processing division of the VKB Group. VKB Milling (Pty) Ltd operates white maize mills in Mokopane and Louis Trichardt in Limpopo, and Mashishing in Mpumalanga, a wheat mill in Frankfort in the Free State as well as a maize mill in Christiana and a Wheat Mill in Modderrivier in the Northern Cape.

Job Function

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining milling machinery, ensuring smooth production processes, and adhering to safety and quality standards. This role is vital in transforming raw materials into finished milled products efficiently and accurately.

Requirements
  • The ideal candidate should have Grade 12 with reading and writing skills.
  • Technical background will serve as a recommendation
  • The ideal candidate with experience in the milling processes will enjoy preference.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Operate and monitor milling machines and related equipment to grind, crush, or mill raw materials.
  • Adjust machine settings for optimal performance and product quality.
  • Load raw materials into machines and unload finished products.
  • Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on machinery.
  • Monitor product output and ensure consistency with quality standards.
  • Follow safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions or unusual product issues.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet daily targets.
  • Clean and maintain work areas to meet hygiene and safety standards.
