Mind Detect Ltd. in Cape Town is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join our world-class data & ML team on a hybrid basis. You will bridge research and production, deploying models and building scalable ML systems.

You will work with PyTorch, ONNX/TensorRT, and CUDA optimizations, delivering robust MLOps pipelines, micro-batching, and model quantisation. The role demands 3-5+ years of experience and strong software engineering skills.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a top-tier university.
• 3-5+ years of ML engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of PyTorch and deep learning fundamentals.
• Experience with ONNX, TensorRT, or model quantisation.
• Strong software engineering skills (Python, testing, CI/CD).
• Familiarity with distributed training and serving infrastructure.

We’re searching for bright minds to help bring novel zero-shot discovery models from research to production. You'll bridge the gap between cutting-edge ML research and scalable, reliable systems.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and optimize ML models for production serving.

Qualifications

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related field, from a top-tier university
• 3-5+ years of experience in ML engineering or related roles.
• Deep knowledge of PyTorch and deep learning fundamentals.
• Experience with ONNX, TensorRT, or model quantisation.
• Strong software engineering skills (Python, testing, CI/CD).
• Familiarity with distributed training and serving infrastructure.
