Job summary

HotelJobs in Gauteng seeks an experienced Painter for a luxury hotel in the Kameeldrift area to ensure high-quality painting, finishing and surface maintenance throughout the premises. You will help preserve the hotel’s premium appearance while maintaining guest and staff areas to a safe standard.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of professional painting experience, a relevant trade certificate, and a valid driver’s license with reliable transport.

Qualifications

• Matric or equivalent (Essential).
• Trade certificate in painting preferred.
• Health and Safety training would be an advantage.
• Valid driver’s license and own transport (Essential).
• 3–5 years painting experience in hotels/resorts.
• Proven ability in routine maintenance and refurbishments.
• Proficient in painting, varnishing, and wallpaper application.
• Capable of surface prep, crack filling, and finishing.

Responsibilities

• Paint and prep surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and repairing cracks.
• Apply primers, undercoats and finishes to achieve high-quality results.
• Match colours and provide decorative features as required.
• Maintain safety and comply with hotel standards and regulations.
• Record maintenance tasks and materials used for reports.
• Collaborate with Facilities Manager on refurbishments and projects.
• Assist other trades as required during renovations.
