Placements24 seeks an experienced Housekeeping Manager for a luxury hotel in Sandton, Gauteng. You will lead the housekeeping team, set high standards, and ensure spotless guest areas across rooms and public spaces.

You will manage inventory, train staff, and monitor safety compliance while collaborating with Front Office and Maintenance to ensure guest readiness. A meticulous, proactive leader with 5+ years in hotel housekeeping is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of housekeeping management experience in hotels.
• Proven leadership of a large housekeeping team.
• Strong understanding of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive housekeeping procedures and standards.
• Manage, train, and schedule the housekeeping team to ensure efficient operations.
• Oversee the daily cleaning and inspection of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Manage inventory of linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies, ensuring adequate stock levels.
• Conduct regular quality control checks to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Manage the housekeeping budget effectively, controlling costs while maintaining quality.
• Liaise with other hotel departments, particularly Front Office and Maintenance, to address guest needs and room readiness.
• Implement training programs for housekeeping staff on best practices and new products.
