Experience: Minimum 3 years
- Ensure plant optimization and efficient production by developing credible, workable plans to meet service levels.
- Proactively identify, correct, and modify plans based on changing circumstances such as priorities, market demand, raw materials, blending constraints, resources, and manpower.
- Prepare detailed schedules of production orders considering plant requirements like capacities (e.g., batch sizes, resource capacities).
- Agree on production schedules with relevant stakeholders (e.g., production team, inbound material planner, quality team, dispatch team) via draft plans.
- Attend daily production planning meetings to review performance and record issues impacting budgeted production targets.
- Ensure accurate reflection of information in the system by maintaining relevant data in production orders accessible to stakeholders (e.g., inbound material planner).
- Provide capacity information to Ops Control to assist with budget planning through capacity reports, understanding their impact on production schedule adherence.
- Monitor and review adherence to standards in production routings and update relevant MRP master data as needed for planning and management.
- Participate in management issues related to process ownership, including SAP updates and SAP-related projects within own control (PP module).
- Coordinate and manage third-party fillers (subcontractors).
- Monitor and update all KPIs (e.g., in-transit, open purchase orders, interface results) and manage monthly and yearly stock reconciliations for the lubricants manufacturing plant and its subcontractors.
Activities
- Production Planning: Ensure continuous and efficient operation of blending and filling by planning and scheduling production orders, optimizing resource use (space, materials, machinery, labor), analyzing activities against targets, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Prepare purchase orders for subcontractors, expedite delayed operations, and adjust schedules for unforeseen conditions.
- Analyze production specifications and plant capacity data, performing calculations to ensure marketing forecasts are achievable with current resources.
- Working Capital Management: Conduct monthly stock counts and reconciliations, manage raw and packaging materials, and optimize MRP tools to reduce working capital without compromising customer service.
- HSEQ: Manage and minimize HSE risks by ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements, promoting safety, and enforcing HSE competency requirements.
- Governance: Manage risks and internal controls, including asset management, and improve cross-functional integration across departments, working within an environment with minimal forecast and seasonal changes.
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Production Planning, Stock Management, Production Management, or equivalent (M+3).
- Postgraduate qualification in business or SAP PP certification is advantageous.
- 3-5 years experience in a petroleum or chemical manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in ERP manufacturing systems (MPS/MRP/BOMs/Routing).
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 standards.
