LPG and Special Gases Sales Manager (JB5506)

Sector: Industrial Gases and Chemicals

Location: Johannesburg South Gauteng

Salary: R780 - Rper annum

Commission: Annual

Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new industrial clients for bulk LPG applications (heating, process energy, fuel switching).
  • Grow the imported multi-component speciality gas mixtures and bulk ammonia markets.
  • Drive end-to-end sales processes from prospecting and solution development to deal closure and handover to operations.
  • Conduct site assessments and collaborate with technical teams to design customised energy and gas solutions.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline aligned with growth targets for all identified products.
  • Prepare detailed proposals, present to key decision-makers and negotiate contracts.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments in the LPG, speciality gas and ammonia sectors.
  • Work closely with internal departments (engineering, logistics, safety) to ensure seamless customer onboarding and project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting via CRM systems or other means, as well as through regular sales activity reports.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years sales experience in a technical solution selling environment, ideally within energy, LPG, industrial gases or similar B2B industrial sectors.
  • Proven track record in developing new business and meeting sales targets.
  • Experience engaging with engineering, procurement and operations decision-makers.
  • National Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related technical/engineering discipline.
  • Sales or business development training is advantageous.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to understand customer industrial processes.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Customer-focused mindset and ability to build long-term relationships.
Requirements & Experience
  • Experience as a Manager or similar leadership role in relevant field.
