Job description

ISS International SpA is seeking a Loss Prevention Engineer in Doha (QATAR) to participate in an Offshore Oil & Gas Project.

Scope of work : Carry out Loss Prevention Engineering tasks on the assigned project related to offshore wellhead / process platforms under the supervision of the Lead Process Engineer.

Candidates should have experience in :

• Loss prevention philosophy / Safety concept, fire protection design basis
• Hazardous area classification schedules & layouts
• Specifications / Criteria for passive fire protection (fireproofing), schedules & layouts
• Fire & gas design philosophy and detection system layouts
• Layout drawings for safety equipment locations, escape routes, and safety signs
• Design basis and characterization of firefighting protection systems, and preparation of relevant documents & layouts
• Hydraulic calculations for fire water networks & spray systems
• Preparation of firefighting, safety equipment, and lifesaving equipment specifications, Material Requisitions (MR), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), and review of vendor documentation
• Familiarity with Oil & Gas standards and international regulations
• Expertise in preparing fire water network P&IDs

Requirements :

• Bachelor's or higher degree in Chemical Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
• At least 5 years in a Loss Prevention Engineer role
• Familiarity with Oil & Gas standards and international regulations
