Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Commercial Truck Driver in Tembisa to join a safety-conscious transport team. You will manage long-haul deliveries, maintain schedules, and uphold professional client interactions on the road.

The role requires a Code 14 license with PDP and at least five years of long-haul driving experience, a clean driving record, and the ability to work independently for extended periods. Accommodation is provided during long trips.

Qualifications

• Valid Code 14 driver's license with PDP.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience driving commercial trucks, preferably long-haul.
• Excellent driving record with no major traffic violations.
• Familiarity with Tembisa and national road networks is advantageous.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work independently for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty trucks safely and efficiently.
• Transport goods from origin to destination, ensuring timely and secure delivery.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting defects or maintenance needs promptly.
• Adhere to driving regulations, including hours of service and speed limits.
• Maintain accurate logs and delivery records, utilizing electronic logging devices where applicable.
