Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Long-Haul Truck Driver to join our national transportation team, operating out of Kimberley. The role focuses on safe, on-time delivery of goods across long distances, with the driver handling loading/unloading and precise logbook maintenance.

You will navigate diverse routes across South Africa, comply with road regulations, and maintain a modern fleet's performance with regular home time and supportive dispatch and maintenance staff.

Qualifications

• Valid Code 14 driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a long-haul truck driver.
• Experience with navigating diverse routes across South Africa.
• Knowledge of trucking regulations and compliance requirements.
• Ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy-duty trucks for long-distance transportation of goods.
• Ensure the safe and secure loading, transporting, and unloading of cargo.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues promptly.
