Job description

The purpose of the Logistics Team Member is to support the coordination, planning & execution of standardised logistics activities safely.

Experience :

At least one-year experience in a store or warehouse, preferably within the Automotive Sector.

Duties :

1. Adhere to all workplace safety protocols at each workstation, including:
2. Proper use of PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, safety shoes, hard-hats, and protective clothing.
3. Observing designated no-go areas to prevent accidents.
4. Maintaining an organised and hazard-free workspace in line with 5S principles.
5. Ensure goods are scanned in and uploaded accurately and timely.
6. Receive goods into store or warehouse following standardised work instructions.
7. Ensure correct placement of parts and materials following location codes and labels, practicing FIFO.
8. Ensure correct picking of both parts and materials using the kanban system.
9. Ensure on-time delivery of parts and materials to internal customers following standardised work.
10. Ensure standardised dunnage is used to maintain the quality and integrity of parts and materials.
11. Identify and implement improvement initiatives.
12. Update check sheets and control boards accurately and timely.
13. Ensure full compliance with logistics procedures and lawful instructions.
14. Communicate updates, issues, or delays to the team leader.
15. Relieve team members when needed, ensuring continuity by securing workstation coverage before leaving.
