Our client, a prominent leader in the Logistics & Warehousing sector, is seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Network Coordinator to join their team. This position plays a vital role in optimizing the flow of goods and information across our client's supply chain network, with the flexibility of being a remote position. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring the movement of inventory, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery. This role requires a deep understanding of transportation management, inventory control, and network optimization strategies. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication and analytical skills, with the ability to manage complex logistical challenges from a distance. This is a significant opportunity for a logistics professional to contribute to the strategic operations of a major player in the industry, working remotely to support operations across various regions, including our facilities in Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape, ZA.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods, ensuring optimal routes, modes, and carriers are utilized.
• Monitor and track shipments in real-time, proactively addressing any delays or issues.
• Collaborate with warehouse managers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics operations.
• Analyze network performance data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and implement strategies to reduce transportation costs and transit times.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and negotiate service agreements.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities, including shipments, costs, and delivery times.
• Support the development and implementation of new logistics initiatives and technologies.
• Provide excellent communication and support to internal and external partners regarding logistics status and requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience in logistics coordination, network planning, or transportation management.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and transportation modes.
• Proficiency in using logistics software, transportation management systems (TMS), and WMS.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
• Familiarity with international shipping regulations and customs procedures is a plus.
