Our client in the manufacturing industry is urgently looking to employ an experienced Logistics Manager at their organization

POSITION INFO :

Location : Edenvale, Gauteng

Requirements :

• Qualification in Supply Chain Management / Operations Management
• 10 years production experience
• Experience within the manufacturing / motor industry
• Must be familiar with the Labour Relations Act.

Responsibilities :

• Managing and procuring materials for the Gauteng manufacturing plant and ensuring Production Planning, Inventory management and supply of finished and semi-finished goods from internal and external customers.
• Responsible for ensuring the supply of goods for the Gauteng region.
• Ensuring GIT.
• Stock takes and cycle counts.
• OHSA and inventory control.
• Industrial relations.
• Fleet maintenance and servicing.
• Overseeing the performance of the team.
• Complying to SOP’s, stores and systems protocol.
• Relationship management with suppliers.
• Engaging in continuous improvement activities to optimises Supply Chain.
