LOGISTICS MANAGER (Fabric Warehouse)

Our client seeks to appoint an experienced Logistics Manager with textile/apparel sector experience. This is a hands-on role. Must have reliable transport and a valid SA driver’s license. Textile/Fabric knowledge is essential.

Responsibilities include:

• Review and manage Greige as well as dyed stock.
• Ensure that stock is maintained correctly, and quantities are accurately released for the required order.
• Container Unloading and Loading – Keep track of containers that are to be unloaded, follow procedure for loading of fabrics into containers, generating packing list and ensuring proper control of goods delivered.
• Provisional Stock Transfer – Monitoring stock of provisional fabric to ensure that as orders are confirmed, there’s a sufficient buffer stock available.
• Incoming and placement of greige.
• Preparation of Feeding – Transfer of greige fabric to the dyehouse as per planning.
