Duties & Responsibilities
Main Job Responsibilities:
To manage the entire Logistics Department, including but not limited to:
- Oversee and control transport of finished goods between the factory and the warehouse.
- Manage stock and stock rotation of finished goods and conduct monthly stock takes in the warehouses.
- Oversee housekeeping inside the finished goods warehouses.
- Manage outstanding PODs for stock already delivered to customers.
- Manage the company's logistics functions, including:
- Managing third-party transporters, negotiating prices, contracts, and PODs.
- Handling loading and deliveries of stock to customers.
- Managing delivery bookings with customers based on production schedules and stock availability.
- Facilitating communication between dispatch and production departments for daily operations.
- Planning loads to ensure timely deliveries at minimal costs.
- Coordinating repairs and dispatch to ensure defective stock is repaired and redelivered within 21 days.
- Drafting and managing the annual Logistics Budget.
- Controlling costs within the budget.
- Implementing process improvements to reduce transport costs.
- Maintaining biweekly communication with the Logistics team.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
Minimum requirements:
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Logistics.
- 5-10 years of managerial experience in a manufacturing, FMCG, or logistics environment.
- Managing at least 50 subordinates, including general workers, supervisors, administrators, and managers.
- Proficient in computer use, especially advanced Excel skills.
- Experience with SYSPRO is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and multitask.
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
