Overview
Must have experience in logistics between Zimbabwe and South Africa, including cross-border procedures. The role involves managing our trucking company, which operates daily trips between Zim and SA.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement logistics strategies and processes.
- Manage and monitor warehousing, distribution, transportation, and customer services.
- Liaise and negotiate with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers.
- Ensure inventory control and accurate record keeping.
- Oversee the selection and management of freight carriers and logistics partners.
- Analyse logistical problems and produce new solutions.
- Maintain performance metrics and analyse data to assess performance and implement improvements.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international laws and regulations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in logistics or supply chain management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Knowledge of logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS, TMS).
- Proven track record of managing logistics operations and teams.
