SUMMARY:

New Vacancy!! Our leading client in the Automotive Sector is looking to employ a Logistics Manager to join their dynamic team in Durban.

POSITION INFO:

Job Responsibilities:

  • In charge/overseeing the daily running of the Receiving Department, Rebate Store, Bulk and Small Components Store, Paint Store and Consignment Store.
  • Ensure effective document controls are maintained, and respective SOPs are followed.
  • Conducting weekly stock counts on all stores. Report on all variances and adjustments done accordingly.
  • Initiate corrective actions to address stock variances and to follow through to closure.
  • Processing of all goods received documentation, IST’s and unplanned issues.
  • Processing all consumable documentation and sorting out Finance queries.
  • Liaise with Material Planning and Import Purchasing regarding abnormalities in receipt.
  • Inform Material Planning on stock levels if stock is below minimum level.
  • Consumable store control and reporting weekly on stock levels.
  • Regular monitoring and maintenance of high value stock
  • Ensure stock rotation system (FIFO) is adhered to.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping standards and ensure that safety requirements are adhered to.
  • Ensure MSDS files are updated for paints, materials and chemicals.
  • Ensure meetings are held pertaining to paint and chemical store and provide minutes
  • Ensure all stocks required as per works order are arranged within the agreed period and communicated.
  • Manage KPA’s of subordinates

Job Requirements:

  • Matric
  • Certificate in Supply Chain
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in Material Planning
  • Experience in a Manufacturing industry
