Job summary
Sandvik Mining is seeking a Logistics Engineer to support the C4 Hub, Burgersfort branch and Core Network. The role combines logistics engineering, data analytics and systems support to optimise performance across the network.
You will work with operational teams and IT to enhance WMS/TMS and SAP processes, develop dashboards, and drive data‑driven improvement initiatives in a dynamic mining environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or closely related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain is advantageous.
- Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement or PM certs are advantageous.
- Advanced Excel skills for data analysis, modelling, reporting and dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Provide logistics engineering support across C4, Burgersfort and Core Network operations.
- Analyse warehouse capacity, layout, material flow and processes.
- Identify constraints and opportunities for improvement; drive productivity and cost improvements.
- Support WMS/TMS and SAP process development, stabilisation and improvement.
