Job summary

Sandvik Mining is seeking a Logistics Engineer to strengthen the Supply Chain team in Burgersfort. You will deliver engineering analysis, data-driven improvements and system support across the C4 Hub and Core Network.

The role focuses on warehouse capacity, process optimisation, and SAP/WMS/TMS enhancements, driving cost efficiency and service improvement. Collaboration with operations and IT is essential to success.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or logistics engineering.
Postgraduate qualification in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain is advantageous.
Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, Project Management or Supply Chain Management advantageous.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including data analysis, modelling, reporting and dashboard development.
Working knowledge of Power BI, data visualisation and analytical tools is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities

Provide logistics engineering support to operational sites and core network.
Analyse warehouse capacity, space utilisation and material flow to identify improvements.
Develop performance reports, dashboards and analytics to inform decisions.
Support WMS/TMS/SAP processes and system enhancements.
Lead or contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and SOP development.
