Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Logistics Driver to manage retail distribution routes across the Cape Town area, ensuring on-time deliveries and product integrity for our retail partners. You will handle loading and unloading, maintain vehicle standards, provide excellent customer service, and report route deviations to the logistics manager.

A valid Code 14 license and 3+ years in logistics are required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Execute daily delivery schedules for retail clients across the Cape Town metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
• Ensure accurate loading and unloading of goods, verifying delivery manifests.
• Maintain the cleanliness and basic upkeep of the assigned delivery vehicle.
• Provide excellent customer service to retail partners, addressing any immediate delivery-related queries.
• Report any deviations from the route, delays, or issues with delivered goods to the logistics manager.
• Operate delivery vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and company safety policies.

Requirements

• Valid professional driver's license (Code 14 preferred) with an excellent driving record.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a commercial driving or logistics role.
• Familiarity with Cape Town 's geographical layout and traffic patterns.
• Physical ability to handle goods, including lifting up to 30 kg.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Proof of professional driving certification or permits.
