Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Local Route Driver in Mossel Bay to join a fast-moving FMCG distribution team. You will deliver products to retail outlets and businesses across the Western Cape, loading and unloading, and ensuring on-time deliveries.

You will operate a dedicated delivery vehicle, maintain vehicle cleanliness, collect proof of delivery, and uphold safety and customer service standards on every route.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license Code 08+ is required.
• Delivery driver experience in FMCG distribution preferred.
• Good knowledge of Mossel Bay and surrounding areas.
• Strong customer service orientation and professional conduct.
• Reliability and commitment to meeting delivery targets.

Responsibilities

• Operate a delivery vehicle to transport FMCG products to assigned customer locations.
• Ensure accurate order fulfillment and safe loading/unloading of goods at each stop.
• Collect payments or proof of delivery as required by company policy.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized delivery vehicle.
• Report any delivery discrepancies, damages, or customer issues promptly.
• Follow assigned routes and adhere to delivery schedules while maintaining safety standards.

You will operate a dedicated delivery vehicle and work closely with the distribution center to ensure smooth operations in the scenic Western Cape area, requiring excellent navigation and customer service skills.
