Job summary

Boardroom Appointments is seeking a Business Analyst in Logistics and Distribution to provide distribution solutions aligned with business goals. The role requires Matric and a minimum of five years’ experience with analytics-driven business development.

You will analyze costings, routing, scheduling, and KPI development to drive efficient distribution networks. The position emphasizes data preparation, modeling, and continuous improvement within a dynamic supply chain environment.

Qualifications

• Matric is required.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience with exposure to business development through analytics.

Responsibilities

• Provide and present continuous solution skill sets deemed necessary to supply chain of both internal and external business.
• Conduct costings, logistics solutions, data preparation and monitoring on projects.
• Use analytical techniques to build theoretical simulation models.
• Requires knowledge of all aspects of distribution including vehicle types/sizes, vehicle applications, routing and scheduling, delivery cycles, customer classifications, HR characteristics.
• Deliver and present optimal solutions that satisfy customer needs.
• Perform resource optimization studies on current and new customer networks.
• Analyze simulated distribution networks for resource requirements and costing elements.
• Costing of simulated and optimized resources.
• Conduct strategic distribution network optimization studies.
• Continuously monitor and develop logistics solutions and monitor projects post-implementation.
• Interpret client as-is logistics environment and propose to-be solutions for improved efficiency and productivity.
• Develop monitoring systems and KPIs to track project performance.
• Continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
• Provide and update rates for the business.
• Ensure rates are accurately calculated.
• Understand sales requirements and customers’ operational needs.
• Advise sales on alternative quoting methods to deliver effective rates.
• Collate information from sales teams for management reporting and future planning.
• Calculate increases for existing customers.
