Placements24 is seeking an experienced Logistics Coordinator to manage regional operations from the East London hub. The role focuses on coordinating shipments, managing carrier relationships, and ensuring efficient supply chain performance for the Eastern Cape.

The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure to optimize logistics processes and service standards for customers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in logistics coordination or supply chain management.
• Proficiency with logistics management software and standard office applications.
• Knowledge of shipping regulations and best practices in transportation.
• Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and track shipments from origin to destination.
• Manage relationships with transportation carriers and negotiate rates.
• Process shipping documentation (bills of lading, manifests, proof of delivery).
• Identify and resolve delays, damages, or discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Utilize logistics software to manage inventory, track shipments, and optimize routes.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, drivers, and external partners to ensure seamless operations.
