Overview

SSK currently has the following career opportunity available in its Animal Feed department in Humansdorp. The Logistics Coordinator is primarily responsible for the efficient flow of raw materials and animal feed products at the animal feed plant.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinating transportation of raw materials and animal feed
  • Managing inventory of raw materials and animal feed
  • Scheduling deliveries to meet customer and production needs
Requirements
  • Excellent animal feed product and industry knowledge
  • Knowledge of logistics and functions related to, but not limited to:
  • Taking orders from customers and members
  • Production and delivery scheduling of products
  • Arranging complete and timely collection and delivery of products
  • Communication to customers regarding the delivery times of products
  • Communication with transport contractors for the delivery of cargo
  • Assistance to Production Manager with stock counts
  • Collaborate with marketers to build strategic relationships with clients
  • Ability to handle conflict, solve problems, and apply self-discipline
  • Accurate and organized with a strong sense of responsibility
  • Strong organizational and planning skills
  • Strong communication and administrative skills
