Warehouse Manager

Our client, specializing in the manufacturing and distribution of superfoods, is looking for a Warehouse Manager to join their team based in Muizenberg, Cape Town.

Duties & Responsibilities

Role Overview:

Managing the warehousing and storage of materials, including Finished Goods and Starting Materials.

Providing leadership and management of personnel within the warehouse.

Ensuring the efficient execution of warehousing and distribution functions of the company.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational and leadership skills, a problem-solving mindset, and a keen eye for detail.

Must be proactive, with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Ability to adapt quickly to new software and technology is essential.

Key Responsibilities

1. Measuring KPIs for the direct reporting team (Supervisors and operational personnel).
2. Managing the timely flow of materials and the return of finished goods to distribution facilities within established timeframes.
3. Ensuring warehouse and distribution center operations adhere to company policies and are conducted fairly and equitably.
4. Managing assets allocated to the warehouse (e.g., company van, forklifts, etc.).
5. Forecasting staffing requirements to meet customer service levels and operational needs.
6. Managing relationships with logistics partners to ensure efficient service delivery.
7. Mitigating risks related to personnel, safety, and assets.

Qualifications Required

• Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in warehouse management, with previous experience in people management.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics principles, and quality standards.
• Experience managing the flow of production with outsourced manufacturers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and other relevant tools, with the ability to adapt quickly to new technologies.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
