This role involves coordinating the logistics for food-servicing equipment deliveries and services, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, and supporting internal teams in maintaining smooth logistical operations.

Responsibilities:
Logistics Coordination:
Manage and oversee all deliveries for both the Sales (95%) and After-Sales (5%) departments, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
Arrange, schedule, and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely and efficient service.
Monitor and track driver movements, ensuring on-time deliveries and resolving any delays.
Communicate proactively with clients regarding delivery statuses, ETA updates, or potential delays.
Arrange and oversee all collections from suppliers as requested by the Procurement Department.
Oversee the maintenance and servicing of company vehicles, including daily and weekly checklists, monthly reporting, licensing, compliance, and handling accidents, repairs, vehicle tools, and equipment.
Ensure all drivers' licensing, Professional Driving Permits (PDPs), lessons, and renewals are up to date.
Work closely with the Stock Controller to coordinate and schedule stock transfers between warehouses and assign vehicles as required.
Ensure all orders are properly stored, handled, and ready for delivery.
Implement, maintain, and improve systems and processes for deliveries.
Sales Administration (Logistics-related tasks):
Accurately process quotes, orders, and invoices related to logistics.
Handle payments related to logistics services (cash, EFT, credit card).
Provide logistical support in managing orders, couriers, and delivery follow-ups.
Team Support and Driver Supervision:
Supervise drivers and driver assistants, ensuring they complete their tasks efficiently.
Conduct HR-related tasks for drivers, including performance reviews, disciplinary actions, leave requests, and overall team management.
Work closely with the logistics and sales teams to ensure seamless operations.
Participate in team meetings, training, and process improvement discussions.
Assist colleagues with administration or operational needs when required.
Collaborate with sales and logistics teams to ensure smooth operational flow.
Requirements: Minimum requirements:
3-5 years of experience in logistics or similar operational roles.
1+ years of experience in food servicing equipment logistics or similar, supply chain management, or a similar field.
Fluent in English; proficiency in an African language or Afrikaans is an advantage.
Proficient in computer software (emails, Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, etc.).
South African Driver's License (Code 10 is an advantage).
Additional qualifications or experience in logistics, operations, or supply chain management is advantageous.
Own reliable transport to work.
