Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4 qualification
Further qualifications (at least level 5); Enrolled / Busy with studies in related field
Minimum Requirements:
- MS Office literate
- Minimum 5 years' experience in logistical / ITC department (industry specific)
- Strong problem solving, analytical skills and organizational skills
- High levels of proficiency in English
- Ability to understand operational system (e.g. Pastel and HEAT)
- Systems knowledge
- Proven ability to manage stock under control
- Technically able to identify parts related to the industry that we support
- Ability to process the administration involved with logistics
- Proven ability to manage drivers
- Ability to verbally communicate clearly with our suppliers
- Must pass a security clearance if required by the customer
- High levels of computer literacy
- Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines whilst ensuring quality is maintained
- Ability to deal with conflict
- Valid driver's license.
Key Tasks:
- Service Quality
- Forecasting and management of stock levels
- Ensure timely monthly GRV
- Ensure adherence to standards with properly approved documentation
- Make recommendation in relation to service improvement plans
- Ensure correct supplier prices are calculated
- Manage risk in consultation with Line Manager
- Evaluate internal procurement process to ensure optimal service quality
- Recommend interventions to ensure dynamic procurement processes are in place
Provided Support:
- Receive a request for support and analyze to determine the nature of the support to be provided
- Categorize the support in accordance with the nature of the support to be provided
- Execute support actions as per categorized criteria
- Follow-up support actions to determine if the problem has been resolved appropriately
- Provide feedback to the relevant role players if and when necessary in accordance with policies and procedures
- Provide support in accordance with policies, procedures and legal requirements
- Provide support within allocated time frames
Self Development:
- Responsible for self-development by keeping abreast of new development by following the applicable processes and procedures
Other:
- Quote administrator for Management
- Generate the purchase orders per project on request based on availability of funds
- Process payment requisitions in accordance with purchase orders
- Prepare payment pack and submit to Finance for payment purposes
- Willingness for additional responsibilities and assisting managers during low activity periods
- Any ad hoc function required to perform from management from time to time
- Provide hands-on training for fellow team members on HEAT and Sage within the department - when required
- Ensure that company policies and procedures and ISO standards are adhered to
- Ensure that all filing systems are up to date
- Record keeping and filing
- Ensure that product knowledge is up to date and keeping abreast of developments within organization.
