Job description

Logistics Administrator - Maitland, Cape Town - Salary R22 000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee outgoing and incoming deliveries to ensure efficient logistics and customer satisfaction.
  • Liaise with internal departments (Production, Sales, Health & Safety) to align delivery and production schedules.
  • Manage logistics personnel and monitor compliance with company policies (safety, hygiene, timekeeping).
  • Operate and oversee use of vehicles (incl. forklifts and delivery vehicles); ensure vehicle maintenance, fuel use, and mileage logs are maintained.
  • Prepare, maintain, and distribute delivery documentation including delivery notes, tax invoices, and stock reports using Microsoft Excel, Pastel Accounting, and other systems.
  • Handle third-party courier coordination and cost-effective route planning.
  • Assist with stock takes, manage inventory movements, and oversee raw material storage.
  • Support and act as BRC Contingency for logistics documentation, invoicing, and system updates.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in logistics coordination and administration
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Pastel Accounting
  • Valid drivers license and experience operating forklifts and other commercial vehicles preferred
  • Knowledge of South African road traffic regulations
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
