Our client is looking for an experienced and dynamic Lodge Manager to oversee the operations of their luxurious 5-star game lodge. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring an exceptional guest experience, managing day-to-day operations, and supervising the lodge’s staff in a remote and exclusive environment. As the Lodge Manager, you will ensure seamless service, uphold the highest standards of hospitality, and provide leadership during the regular manager's absence.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee daily operations of the lodge, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
  2. Manage all aspects of guest services, ensuring the highest level of luxury and satisfaction.
  3. Lead, train, and supervise lodge staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
  4. Ensure that all lodge facilities and services are maintained to 5-star standards.
  5. Coordinate with the kitchen and housekeeping teams to ensure exceptional dining and room experiences.
  6. Manage guest requests and special arrangements, ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally.
  7. Ensure health and safety standards are maintained across the lodge and within staff practices.
  8. Act as the primary point of contact for guests, addressing any concerns and handling guest feedback effectively.
  9. Provide administrative support, including managing budgets, inventory, and ensuring operational costs are controlled.
  10. Ensure staff are properly trained on lodge operations, service standards, and safety protocols.
  11. Step in as Relief Lodge Manager during the absence of the primary manager, maintaining the high standards of operation and guest experience.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Villa Manager, Lodge Manager, or in a similar luxury hospitality role, within a 5-star or remote environment.
  2. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
  3. Exceptional guest service skills with a focus on attention to detail and luxury hospitality standards.
  4. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple tasks and staff effectively.
  5. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle guest concerns and operational challenges.
  6. Knowledge of financial management, including budgeting and controlling operational costs.
  7. Ability to adapt to a remote, high-pressure environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  8. Excellent communication skills and a positive, proactive attitude.
  9. Experience working in a remote lodge or safari environment is a plus.
  10. A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive a 4x4 vehicle in off-road conditions is a plus.
