Job summary

A leading hospitality recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Front of House Manager for a prestigious 5-star lodge in Eastern Cape, South Africa. The ideal candidate will have a formal hospitality qualification, at least 2 years of management experience, and strong guest relations skills. Responsibilities include overseeing F&B operations, finance, and housekeeping, driving community development and maintaining the lodge’s high standards.

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years management experience in a 5-star lodge environment.
  • Strong F&B background.
  • Valid First Aid Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Front of House hospitality operations.
  • Oversee Finance, Admin, and Stock Controls.
  • Assist with Food & Beverage operations.

Job description

Duties :

  • Front of House hospitality management
  • Assisting with all Food & Beverage (F&B) / hosting operations
  • Finance, Admin, Stock Controls & Stocktaking
  • Overseeing housekeeping
  • Basic HR duties

Requirements :

  • Grade 12
  • A formal Hospitality Diploma or tertiary qualification
  • At least 2 years management experience in a 5-star lodge environment
  • Strong F&B background
  • Computer literacy (Semper / Pastel advantageous)
  • Strong guest relations skills
  • Strong management skills
  • Driver's License
  • Valid First Aid Certification
  • South African Citizen
  • Understanding of budget control and financial management
  • Ability to manage community staff delicately and drive development/upliftment processes
