Job description

Luxury Lodge in Welgevonden Private Game Reserve is looking for a Lodge Anchor & Maintenance Couple.

Maintenance: Duties:
  1. Perform routine emergency maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, and carpentry.
  2. Diagnose and repair air conditioners, kitchen appliances, and gas equipment efficiently.
  3. Conduct fault-finding and troubleshooting for technical and mechanical issues across the lodge.
  4. Maintain and repair infrastructure, including guest rooms, common areas, and outdoor facilities.
  5. Ensure all work adheres to safety and quality standards, prioritizing guest comfort and satisfaction.
  6. Collaborate with other departments to resolve maintenance issues promptly.
  7. Maintain accurate records of completed tasks and report recurring issues to management.
  8. Respond to guest queries or concerns professionally, maintaining high service standards.
  9. Assist with landscaping, pool maintenance, and other general upkeep as needed.
  10. Be available for on-call duties working flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements:
  1. Grade 12
  2. Trade Test qualification would be an advantage.
  3. Basic mechanical repairs & fault-finding skills.
  4. Valid Driver’s License.
  5. Electrical maintenance and repairs, including fault finding on kitchen appliances and air conditioners.
  6. Plumbing installations and troubleshooting.
  7. Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects.
  8. Knowledge of gas equipment maintenance.
Lodge Anchor: Duties:
  1. General administration, accounts and stock control.
  2. Quality control of food, food presentation and service.
  3. Motivating staff and leading them.
  4. Have a strong eye for detail with regards to all lodge rooms, service & food.
Requirements:
  1. Grade 12
  2. A formal Game Lodge Management qualification will be an advantage.
  3. Minimum 2-4 years in Front of House in 4–5-star establishments.
  4. Excellent sales & customer care skills.
  5. Have good organizational skills.
  6. Knowledge of reservations management systems an advantage.
  7. Well-spoken and well presented.
  8. Resilient & flexible.
  9. Strong leadership and communication skills.
  10. Must be able to work under pressure.
  11. Manage guest delight events with passion.
