Job summary

Zutari, a multinational infrastructure firm, invites applications for a location lead in Tshwane. You will head a data team, connecting BIM, IoT, ERP data into scalable pipelines and architectures to support engineering projects across energy, transport, water and buildings.

We seek an 8+ year data veteran with Python, SQL, and data warehousing expertise, capable of leading teams and communicating complex results to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience leading data professionals.
• Can-do attitude and passion for applying data in engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
• 8+ years in data engineering and/or data science.
• 2+ years leading a team.
• Fluent in Python and GIT version control.
• Hands-on experience with SQL databases, data warehousing, and data pipelines.
• Ability to communicate complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and build a data team in Tshwane with support from the Zutari Data Lead.
• Collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver multiple data/analytics projects.
• Ingest and consolidate raw data from BIM, IoT sensors, and ERP systems.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable data architectures and end-to-end pipelines.
• Perform data analysis and develop BI tools to surface actionable insights.
• Prototype and validate ML/AI concepts to address business challenges.
