Local Liquor Store Manager at PnP

Introduction

Manages department to ensure maximum sales and promotions. Ensure compliance to standards, regulations and sets plans to achieve targets/deadlines.

Duties & Responsibilities

Merchandising Management

1. Executes plano guide 100%
2. Rotates stock as per policy/SOP on sales floor and back up area
3. Follows standards set down for promotional space
4. Follows promotions communications
5. Ensures back up area standards maintained at all times - all stock represented on floor
6. Ensure department follows H&S standards and processes as per SOP
7. Understand customer needs and communicate these to demand planning

1. Identifies, counts, and records out of stocks & over stocks
2. Actions all administrative functions

1. Handles customer complaints and special customer requests
2. Advises customers on products

1. Evaluates the performance of direct reports against agreed objectives and standards
2. Identifies training needs

1. Ensures that all equipment is properly maintained in effective working order
2. Ensures that general maintenance standards are met
3. Follows up and controls departmental expenses
4. Monitors results and investigates deviations to budget
5. Monitors waste, and ensures procedures are adhered to

1. Matric Grade 12
2. Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory position
3. 2 years retail experience
4. Previous experience in the Wine/Liquor department or experience in managing a department
