Placements24 is seeking a Local Goods Transporter for a Paarl-based role within the Western Cape. You will operate a light commercial vehicle to move goods for local businesses, plan routes, and ensure timely deliveries.

The job requires a valid Code B or higher driver’s licence, strong knowledge of the Paarl area, and a commitment to safe, reliable transportation and excellent customer service during handovers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Transport goods and materials to designated locations within the Paarl area and surrounding towns.
• Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of items in the vehicle.
• Plan daily routes to ensure timely and efficient deliveries, taking into account traffic conditions.
• Conduct routine checks on the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition and report any issues.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and any incidents encountered during transit.
• Provide polite and professional assistance to customers upon delivery.
