Placements24 is seeking a dependable Local Delivery Driver for the Kimberley, Northern Cape region. This on-site role requires daily customer interaction and strong local area knowledge to ensure timely, safe deliveries and excellent service.

You will plan routes, load/unload safely, and maintain records while adhering to traffic laws. Training and opportunities for overtime may be available as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid South African driver’s license; PDP is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Good knowledge of the Kimberley area.
• Physical ability to lift and carry packages up to 15 kg.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
• Willingness to work typical daily hours, Monday to Saturday.

Responsibilities

• Operate a delivery van or light truck for timely delivery of parcels to residential and commercial addresses.
• Plan and optimize daily delivery routes within the Kimberley area for efficiency.
• Load and unload packages safely and verify delivery manifests.
• Provide excellent customer service during each delivery interaction.
• Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and issues.
• Adhere to traffic laws and company safety policies.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding status, delays, or issues.
• Handle packages with care to ensure good condition on delivery.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness.
