Job summary

Kendrick Recruitment is seeking an experienced Camp Manager for a small luxury tented camp in the Waterberg. This hands-on, single live-in role suits someone who enjoys hosting guests, leading a team and taking ownership of daily operations.

You will oversee guest experiences, oversee tents and public areas, and manage food, beverage, purchasing and administration. Salary is R16,000–R18,000 per month with accommodation and meals, provident fund, seven days off per month and 21 consecutive days

Qualifications

• At least five years’ experience in a camp or lodge management role.
• Experience in a luxury safari lodge or tented camp is essential.
• Strong guest relations, team leadership and organisational skills.
• A calm, practical approach and the confidence to work independently.
• Computer literacy, a valid driver’s licence and confidence driving in a lodge environment.
• Contactable references from previous employers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the guest experience, from arrival through to departure, including meals, activities and special occasions.
• Lead the camp team, conduct daily briefings and maintain consistent service standards.
• Inspect guest tents and public areas, and follow up on housekeeping and maintenance needs.
• Oversee food and beverage service, stock control, purchasing and guest billing.
• Manage daily administration, reporting and basic financial controls.
