Job summary

Placements24 in Upington, South Africa, seeks a seasoned Broadcast Engineer to join our technical operations team. You will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting broadcast equipment used in live and recorded productions.

You will configure systems for events, perform preventative maintenance, monitor signal quality, and collaborate with production to meet technical requirements. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge gear and opportunities for professional development

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Broadcast Engineer or in a similar technical broadcast role.
Strong understanding of television production workflows, signal flow, and broadcast standards.
Proficiency with broadcast equipment and signal monitoring software.

Responsibilities

Operate, maintain, and repair broadcast equipment including cameras, switchers, audio consoles, and transmission systems.
Monitor signals for quality, troubleshoot issues, and resolve technical problems during live or recorded productions.
Set up and configure broadcast systems for live events and studio productions.
Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and ensure optimum performance.
Collaborate with production teams to understand technical needs and provide engineering support.
Stay updated on new broadcast technologies and recommend upgrades.
