Job description

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, a leading global law firm with offices across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a Litigation Docket Clerk to support our litigation practice firmwide. This role is based in one of the following offices: San Francisco, Seattle, Silicon Valley (Palo Alto), Orange County, Century City, or Los Angeles, with a hybrid in-office/remote schedule. Flexibility for overtime is required.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Maintain the firm's docket system for litigation lawyers across multiple courts and jurisdictions.
  2. Identify pertinent deadlines and prepare a master calendar of due dates for distribution to lawyers and staff.
  3. Obtain filing information from court clerks and online dockets.
Experience and Qualifications:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  2. At least one year of relevant litigation calendaring/docketing experience, preferably in a large law firm.
  3. Understanding of court docketing and calendaring procedures, familiarity with court filings, and rules at federal, state, and county levels is strongly preferred.
  4. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  5. Strong proofreading skills and attention to detail.
  6. Team player with interpersonal skills and relationship-building ability.
  7. Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with ProLaw or similar software is a plus.
Additional Information:

Salary ranges vary by location, with specific ranges provided for each city. The final salary will be determined during the interview process and may be outside the listed ranges based on experience and other factors. Benefits include a discretionary annual bonus, 401(k), health insurance, paid holidays, personal days, vacation, sick leave, parental leave, and other employee assistance programs. Employment is at-will, and the firm reserves the right to modify compensation and benefits.
