Qualifications

  • Ability to speak and understand two official African languages including English or Afrikaans.

  • Manage litigation claims in cooperation with the Head of Department.
  • Draft claims and submit them to the Merit Assessment Committee.
  • Comply with all provisions in the Claims Policy.

Job description

SUMMARYWe're seeking a Litigation Claims Consultant to manage litigation files (Criminal, Civil, Family & Labour) and ensure our service providers comply with the service level agreements.PRIMARY DUTIES : (Duties listed below are not exhaustive.

Any reasonable request from Law for All or operational demands will be the responsibility of the Litigation Claims Consultant to attend to.

Drafting cases on Lawyerly;Attending to Criminal, Civil, Family, and Labour files;Managing litigation claims in cooperation with the Head of Department according to the Claims Policy and other policies;Drafting claims and submitting them to the Merit Assessment Committee;Verifying policy payment history monthly;Organising referrals / instructions to accredited panel attorneys;Following repudiation / exclusion procedures as per the claims policy and operational manual;Monthly case management until finalization, including obtaining feedback and ensuring service quality;Managing files until finalization, providing policyholders with updates and managing expectations;Using only the Telviva system for calls, verifying policyholder identity and security;Managing invoices / accounts from Service Providers;Complying with all provisions in the Claims Policy.REQUIREMENTS : LLB and admitted attorney or advocate;At least 1 year of post-articles litigation experience;Ability to speak, write, and understand two official African languages, including English or Afrikaans;Excellent communication, initiative, and computer skills;Ability to work independently;Positive, motivated, and team-oriented attitude;Excellent administrative and drafting skills;Ability to work under stress.
