Requirements

Linux Infrastructure

1. Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems.
2. Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure.
3. Troubleshoot and resolve complex system and application issues.
4. Implement security measures and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Database Security

1. Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
2. Participate in capacity planning and performance tuning activities.

Database Backup & Recovery

1. Develop and enhance automated processes to minimize downtime and improve performance.
2. Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Linux systems with Oracle databases and applications.

Business Planning / Decision Making

1. Provide input for short-term and long-term operational planning in respect of existing and emerging technology.

Policies and Procedures

1. Linux Policies and procedures.
2. Patch/security updates as per agreed business OLA.
3. Daily/Weekly and Monthly Reporting.
4. Logging and resolving Helpdesk calls as per agreed business OLA.
5. Vulnerability monitoring and remediation.
6. Licensing management.

Academic Knowledge

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification.
3. VMware added advantage.
4. Oracle added advantage.

Work Experience

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience with installation, configuration, and administration of enterprise Linux distributions (Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Linux).
2. Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Ansible.
3. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
4. Strong knowledge of Linux system administration, virtualization, and cloud technologies.
5. Familiarity with network security technologies and associated services.
