Job description
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for spares movements between the relevant base and other stations;
- Ensure that all data is promptly entered into the stock management system (ERP) to maintain accurate information at all times;
- To comply with Work Instructions, ensure parts are sorted into their designated areas immediately upon receipt;
- Conduct weekly cycle counts as well as other random counts to ensure stock accuracy is maintained;
- Keep accurate records and file all relevant documentation pertaining to spare parts movements;
- Create documentation for shipping purposes (COMAT) as well as packaging as per general practice or as required by Work Instructions;
- Responsible for tools and other equipment in the station;
- Responsible to manage shelf-life items for tools, consumables and rotables as prescribed by Work Instructions;
- Responsible for loading of required spares on the requisition system;
- Update the ERP system once spares are received to improve visibility throughout our ERP system;
- Daily housekeeping must be performed, and a high standard maintained;
- Ensure unserviceable spares are routed to JHB to minimise turnaround time and decrease repair cycle;
- Manage stock levels for both consumables and rotables;
- Address all requests for spares received through the requisition system, email, phone calls, or WhatsApp;
- Carry out general warehouse duties as requested by the Supervisor;
- Ensure that access to the warehouse is controlled at all times;
- Daily reporting will be conducted after each shift, with ad-hoc reporting as needed;
- Assist with loading and offloading of spares on the aircrafts;
- Assist with all queries on spares in the station;
- Following up on quarantine spares.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
- Forklift license (Advantageous);
- Minimum of 2-3 years in Warehouse (Essential);
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook);
- Good understanding of stock management;
- FIFO understanding;
- Must have Tool knowledge;
- Good understanding of operations;
- Good understanding of Occupational health, safety (OHS);
- Knowledge of Dangerous Goods regulations;
- Knowledge of Relevant AMO standards;
- Must have a valid driver’s license (EB);
- Must be able to drive with trailer (Long);
- Willing to travel;
- Valid passport;
- Own transport.
