Role: Engineer Surveyor - Lift &Crane - £2,000 joining bonus

Location: Field based with daily travel to client sites, with efforts to minimize travel and offer local areas.

Package: £42,148 - £45,232 pa, £6,000 location Allowance, Car Allowance of £5,000 pa or Company Car, one-off retention payment of up to £2,500, £2,000 joining bonus, Fuel Card, OT available, Up to 12% Pension, Health Care, and other Flexible benefits.

Role Purpose:

To conduct high-quality inspections ensuring passenger lifts (escalators, elevators, stairlifts) comply with current standards (BS EN81-1). To operate within authorized, inspection, and H&S standards, with a customer-focused approach to deliver optimal service.

To produce and deliver inspection reports using Bureau Veritas’s tools, providing immediate client access and acting as an advisor to high-profile clients with professionalism and authority.

What does it take to apply?

Bureau Veritas holds various accreditations including UKAS, SAFed membership, and SAFed Standard SS01 compliance. Candidate requirements include:

  • Minimum NVQ4, City and Guilds 4, HNC, HND or equivalent mechanical engineering qualification for Lift & Crane roles
  • LEEA qualifications are preferred but not sufficient alone; relevant mechanically biased engineering qualifications are necessary
  • At least three to five years’ post-qualification experience working with relevant equipment
