Job description

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor all pool areas and other water facilities on board to ensure safety protocols are being followed onboard the cruise ship

- Provide first aid and emergency care in the event of an accident or injury

- Enforce all pool rules and regulations to ensure the safety of all individuals

- Conduct regular safety inspections of the pool and surrounding areas

- Assist in the maintenance and cleaning of the pool and pool deck

- Communicate effectively with other crew members and passengers to provide a positive and welcoming atmosphere

- Participate in safety drills and trainings as required by the company

- Attend to any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management

Qualifications:

- Current lifeguard certification from a recognized organization

- Minimum of 1 year experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a pool or aquatic environment

- Strong swimming and rescue skills

- Excellent communication and customer service skills

- Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergency situations

- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced environment

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment medical examination and drug test
