DETAILS ABOUT THE LEARNERSHIP PROGRAMME : Location : Life The Crompton Hospital, Pinetown, Durban, KwaZulu-Natal

Duration : 12 months

Programme dates : 1 July – 30 June

Life The Crompton Hospital is offering a Pharmacist learnership opportunity for the position of Pharmacist Assistant Learner Basic – HWSETA Learnership Pharmacy Introduction.

The opportunity is open to unemployed individuals and runs from the 1st of July until the 30th of June .

During the programme, the candidate will report to the Senior Pharmacist and the Tutor as well as aid in the effective functioning and co-ordination of the Pharmacy.

Key Performance Areas of the Programme :

When requested, supplying the wards and theatre with medicationProviding assistance to management with pharmaceuticals in the hospital (this will be under the supervision of a pharmacist)Ensuring inventory is surgical and ethicalProviding assistance in aggressively managing hospital deadstockEnsuring cycle counts, stock-take, and investigation of variances are completedEnsuring patient's credits are processedRestocking the emergency cupboardEnsuring surgical and ethical stock is unpackedChecking all expiry dates on stock and invoicesFollowing all security protocolsEnsuring that ethical and professional standards are maintainedMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS NEEDED TO APPLY : Before applying, please ensure that you meet ALL of the following minimum entry criteria – failure to satisfy all the requirements will result in your application being disqualified :
