Licensing & Compliance Manager

Location: South Africa, Cape Town

Role Overview:

A rapidly growing online betting business is looking for a Licensing and Compliance Manager with strong experience in South Africa’s gaming regulatory landscape to join the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee preparation, submission, and maintenance of gaming license applications
• Lead internal compliance audits and manage responses to regulator inspections
• Act as liaison with gambling boards and technical certification bodies
• Supervise the compliance team
• Support law enforcement and regulatory engagement when needed
• Deliver internal training on South African gaming regulations and compliance expectations

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified and licensed attorney in South Africa
• 5+ years’ experience in gaming compliance, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role
• Proven interaction with the National Gambling Board and/or provincial gaming regulators
• Strong command of English (written and spoken); knowledge of Afrikaans or other local languages is an advantage
