Placements24 is seeking an experienced Licensed Aircraft Engineer specializing in avionics to join our expanding operations in Tembisa, Gauteng, South Africa. You will maintain complex electronic systems aboard aircraft, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance and optimal performance within a collaborative engineering team.

The role requires an EASA Part-66 license with Avionics modules and a minimum of 3 years’ experience.

Qualifications

• Requires EASA Part-66 license with Avionics modules.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience working with aircraft avionics.
• Proficient in troubleshooting complex electronic and digital systems.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, orders and maintenance logs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft avionics systems including navigation, communications, and flight control.
• Interpret manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to diagnose faults.
• Install avionics equipment and upgrade existing systems per approved modifications.
• Conduct functional tests and calibrate avionics instruments for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain detailed records of all avionics maintenance activities and replacements.
• Collaborate with engineering and flight crew to address avionics issues promptly.
