About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Avionics Technician to join their maintenance team in Paarl . This role is essential for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the complex electronic systems and components installed in aircraft. You will work with a variety of avionics equipment, ensuring its optimal performance and compliance with safety regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft avionics systems, including communication, navigation, flight control, and radar systems.
- Interpret technical manuals, schematics, and wiring diagrams to diagnose and resolve electronic system issues.
- Perform routine maintenance and calibration of avionics equipment to ensure accuracy and functionality.
- Document all maintenance actions, repairs, and component replacements accurately in aircraft logs and maintenance records.
- Ensure all work performed complies with manufacturer specifications, aviation regulations, and company quality standards.
- Collaborate with pilots and other maintenance personnel to efficiently address avionics-related issues.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Avionics Technician or similar role.
- Hold a relevant certification or qualification in avionics systems maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft electronic systems, including navigation, communication, and autopilot systems.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, test equipment, and troubleshooting techniques for avionics.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation and electrical schematics.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team or independently.
