Job description

About the Role

To run with conveyancing matters independently as a conveyancing secretary.

Responsibilities

  1. Drafting and Reviewing Sale Agreements
  2. Attending to all aspects relating to a transfer matter, including opening a file, contacting clients, collecting FICA
  3. Conducting the necessary deed searches and reviewing same for necessary further action
  4. Liaising with all parties involved and providing regular feedback
  5. Financial aspects (guarantees, rates clearance, transfer duty, levies, etc.)
  6. Working knowledge of sale transfers, estate late transfers and divorce transfers
  7. Preference given to knowledge of developments and opening of sectional title schemes
  8. Working knowledge of most deeds office applications (VA, removal of conditions, name changes, etc.)
  9. Arranging lodgement with simuls, registration, final accounts and payments, and delivery of deeds

Requirements

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  1. Working knowledge of E4 or Lexis Convey
  2. Outlook
  3. Microsoft package (Word and Excel)
  4. Administrative skills
  5. Well developed correspondence etiquette
  6. A thorough work ethic
  7. Paying attention to detail
  8. The ability to work independently
  9. Patience
  10. Initiative and drive
